The Rewarder of Those Who Diligently Seek Him

In the book of Hebrews, the writer emphasizes the power and importance of faith. He reminds us that the very foundation of our existence is rooted in our trust in God, who spoke the worlds into existence. Through faith, we grasp the truth that what we see is the result of God’s invisible work.

The writer goes on to illustrate the incredible achievements of two individuals who sought after God relentlessly. Abel, through faith, offered a sacrifice that pleased God and obtained righteousness. Even though he is no longer alive, his testimony still speaks to us today. Enoch, on the other hand, pleased God to such an extent that he was taken away without experiencing death. These two examples demonstrate the rewards that await those who diligently seek God.

It is essential to understand that without faith, it is impossible to please God. To come to Him, we must first believe in His existence and trust that He is a rewarder of those who passionately pursue Him. Faith requires endurance and testing, but it is through these challenges that our faith is cultivated and strengthened.

The writer does not reveal the exact path these individuals took to find faith, for God’s ways are beyond our understanding. However, we can be certain that His methods are purposeful and precise. Regardless of the path, the goal remains the same: to develop an unwavering faith that seeks God with all of our being.

A diligent seeker does not search for material possessions or personal gain. Rather, they seek after the One who is the true reward. The analogy of the hardworking farmer is fitting in this context. Our Heavenly Father is diligently working to bring forth a harvest in our lives, and He takes great joy in rewarding those who earnestly seek Him.

In the gospel of John, Jesus reveals that the Father is actively seeking true worshipers who will worship Him in spirit and truth. The destination of the diligent seeker is the throne of God, and their ultimate reward is an intimate relationship with Him. Jesus, the Messiah, enlightens us about the Father’s plans and invites us to seek Him wholeheartedly.

So, let us join the ranks of those who persist through challenges and hardships, diligently seeking after God. As we search with all our hearts, we can be confident that we will find Him. He promises that when we seek Him, we will indeed find Him. And the reward of finding Him is unparalleled.

Keep seeking, my friends.

Searching Him Out,
