Unlocking the Nine Pillars of Peace Quest
If you’ve been focusing on the main quests, you might not have the Nine Pillars of Peace on your radar just yet. To add this quest to your journal, simply visit Cuijue Slope. Here, you’ll find nine glowing pillars surrounded by a door and a tombstone in the center. Interact with the tombstone to unlock the quest. Now, you can keep it in mind as you continue your journey through the world of Genshin Impact.
Completing the Nine Pillars of Peace Quest
Step 1: Find the Geoculus and Upgrade the Liyue Statue of the Seven
To complete the Nine Pillars of Peace quest, you need to fill the vacant holes in the nine pillars with special topaz-colored orbs. These orbs can be obtained by leveling up the Liyue Statue of the Seven using Geoculus found throughout the world. In total, you’ll need to find 130 Geoculus to unlock every pillar.
Finding every Geoculus can be a challenging task. Fortunately, update 1.1 introduced the Geoculus Resonance Stone. This craftable item acts as a compass, helping you locate every Geoculus easily. To unlock the Geoculus Resonance Stone, reach reputation level 2 in Liyue. Then, forge it at any Elemental Crafting Bench in Teyvat using Cor Lapis, Glaze Lilies, and Crystal Chunk. You’ll need one Geoculus Resonance Stone for each Geoculus you find.
Step 2: Place the Orbs in the Pillars
After upgrading the Liyue Statue of the Seven and obtaining all the necessary orbs, return to the pillars at Cuijue Slope. Scale each pillar until you find a small opening where you can place your collected topaz-colored orbs. You can refer to the map to locate the exact positions of the nine pillars.
Once you place an orb, a treasure box will appear beneath the pillar, and the structure will emit an orange hue. Fill all nine pillars with orbs, and the central gate will open, allowing you to continue your quest.
Step 3: Enter the Ruins and Defeat the Foes
Now that you’ve proven your worth by collecting all nine orbs, you can enter the ruins. Inside, you’ll find a treasure worth fighting for, but be prepared for a challenging battle. The ruins house a three-round skirmish, and you’ll face powerful enemies.
In round one, you’ll encounter a Ruin Guard. Round two introduces two Geovishap Hatchlings, and in the final round, a Ruin Hunter awaits. Make sure you bring your best items or invite a friend to aid you in the fight. With sufficient preparation, victory will be within reach.
Step 4: Collect the Treasure and Decide Where to Sell the Dull Ring
Congratulations on defeating the formidable foes guarding the treasure! You will discover a Precious Chest and a Luxurious Chest behind the ruins. However, the quest is not yet complete.
One of the chests will award you a Dull Ring item, which can be sold for a tidy sum in Liyue Harbor. You have two options for selling the ring. The Antique Store will buy it for 200,000 Mora, but if you speak to Bolai of Wanyou Boutique, he will offer you 180,000 Mora and include five Adeptus’ Temptation meals. These meals significantly increase your attack when consumed, giving you an advantage against tough bosses.
Considering the added benefit of the Adeptus’ Temptation meals, Bolai’s offer is the wiser choice. So, head over to Wanyou Boutique and make the best deal for yourself.
