Fashion Challengers have returned to Pokemon Go for the highly anticipated Fashion Week 2022 event, and we’ve got all the details on their lineups and the best counters to use against them.
The annual Fashion Week in Pokemon Go is a thrilling event for players. Last year, we were introduced to Furfrou and its various trims, while this year, we can look forward to the long-awaited debuts of Mareanie and Toxapex.
One exciting feature returning in this year’s event is the Fashion Challenger. These fashion-themed NPCs present players with unique lineups of Pokemon to battle. However, there’s a slight twist this time around.
Whether you encounter a Cool Challenger, a Rugged Challenger, or a Quirky Challenger, we’ve gathered all the information on their lineups and recommended counters below.

How to Battle a Fashion Challenger in Pokemon Go
To encounter Fashion Challengers in Pokemon Go, simply complete the Fashion Week 2022 Timed Research quest. Battles will be rewarded as you progress through each step, so there’s no need to wander in search of them.
This year’s event differs from the previous Fashion Week, where Fashion Challengers would appear near random PokeStops. Additionally, while there were six different Fashion Challengers to find last year, this year’s event features only three.
Fashion Challengers will be available exclusively during the Fashion Week event, which runs from September 27 at 10 AM until October 3 at 8 PM local time. Make sure to complete the Timed Research quest before the event concludes.

Best Counters for Pokemon Go Fashion Challengers
Every Fashion Challenger will commence the battle by sending out Furfrou, a Normal-type Pokemon. Therefore, it’s wise to have a strong Fighting-type such as Machamp, Lucario, or Conkeldurr on your team.
If you face a Cool Challenger, bring along a Dark, Electric, Ghost, or Grass-type Pokemon to defeat Frillish, and a Flying, Ground, or Psychic-type Pokemon to take down Croagunk.
When battling a Quirky Challenger, opt for an Electric, Ground, or Psychic-type Pokemon to overcome Mareanie, followed by a Grass, Ice, or Water-type Pokemon to easily defeat Diglett.
Lastly, if you encounter a Rugged Challenger, go for a strong Ground-type Pokemon to take advantage of Blitzle’s only weakness. Then, select a Bug, Fairy, or Fighting-type Pokemon to battle Absol.
While it’s always beneficial to have strong counters, this year’s Fashion Challengers are relatively easy to defeat. Having one powerful Legendary or pseudo-Legendary Pokemon of any type should suffice.
