After completing the classroom training, participants must pass a validated test consisting of fifty questions, with a minimum score of seventy percent required for certification. The Basic Orientation Plus® program, including the test, takes approximately five and a half hours to complete.

For those seeking extra assistance or additional information, ARSC offers an optional study guide in PDF format. This guide serves as a valuable resource for students preparing for the program. Moreover, ARSC provides a refresher program, which can be administered annually either by an instructor or in a computer-based training (CBT) format. The Basic Orientation Plus – Refresher program takes about two hours to complete in CBT format.
