Where to Find Gordo Slimes in Slime Rancher

Video where are all the gordo slimes in slime rancher

Introduction

Gordo slimes are a special type of slime in the game Slime Rancher that can be found outside of your ranch. Each type of slime has at least one corresponding Gordo slime. When you feed a Gordo enough food, it will burst and reveal a Slime Key or a teleporter that you can use.

Pink Gordo #1 – The Dry Reef

Pink Gordo 1 Location

  • Reward: Slime Key
  • Food Requirement: 30 units; no favorite

The Pink Gordo in the Dry Reef is usually the first Gordo players encounter in the game. It is located on a small island surrounded by water. You can reach it by crossing a wooden bridge in the central portion of the Dry Reef.

Since this Gordo is a Pink Slime, you can feed it any type of food. There is a Pogofruit tree on the small island next to it that spawns 5 Pogofruits a day. Feed the Pink Gordo 30 units of any food to burst it.

Phosphor Gordo – The Dry Reef

Phosphor Gordo

  • Reward: Slime Key
  • Food Requirement: 50 units of fruit; Cuberries are the favorite

The Phosphor Gordo is the second Gordo you should pop in the Dry Reef. It can be found underground to the north of the Pink Gordo. To reach it, jump off the ledge towards the water where the arrow on the map is pointing. Follow the pathway along the water’s edge.

Phosphor slimes only eat fruit, so you’ll need to feed it either Cuberries or Pogofruit from the Dry Reef. You can also use Mint Mango if you’ve reached the Moss Blanket zone.

Tabby Gordo – The Dry Reef

Tabby Gordo

  • Reward: Teleporter to your Docks/Overgrowth
  • Food Requirement: 50 units of meat; Stony Hens are the favorite

The Tabby Gordo can be found near the bridges that lead to the Moss Blanket entrance. It is the first Tabby Gordo you’ll encounter in the game. Like all Tabby Slimes, it only eats meat, with Stony Hens being its favorite.

To feed the Tabby Gordo, shoot Chickadoos into the area behind it. They will grow into adult Chickadoos by the next day, and you can then feed them to the Tabby Gordo. Popping the Tabby Gordo will reveal a teleporter that takes you to and from the area between the Docks/Overgrowth Ranch Expansions.

Tabby Gordo #2 – The Dry Reef

Tabby Gordo 2

  • Reward: Teleporter to the island in Dry Reef
  • Food Requirement: 50 units of meat; Stony Hens are the favorite

This is typically the second Tabby Gordo players come across in the game. It is located on a small island on the western side of the Dry Reef. To access this area, you need to purchase the Overgrowth Ranch Expansion.

To feed this Gordo, gather all the chickens in the Overgrowth and feed them to him. Sucking up the chickens in the Overgrowth will cause more of them to spawn, allowing you to gather a bunch of them at once. Popping this Gordo will grant you access to the small island in the Dry Reef.

Pink Gordo #2 – The Dry Reef (Island)

Pink Gordo 2

  • Reward: Slime Key
  • Food Requirement: 30 units; no favorite

The final Pink Gordo can be found on the southwestern island in the Dry Reef. To reach this location, you’ll need to burst Tabby Gordo #2, which is sitting on top of the teleporter that leads to this island.

On the island, you’ll find the Pink Slime on top of a ledge. The route to reach it is quite linear, but you’ll need a Jetpack to access it. While there is some food scattered around the island, it’s recommended to bring your own food from the Overgrowth area on your Ranch.

Honey Gordo – The Moss Blanket

  • Reward: Slime Key
  • Food Requirement: 50 units of fruit; Mint Mango is the favorite

The Honey Gordo can be found in the Moss Blanket. To reach it, head directly west when you enter the Moss Blanket until you hit a wall. Use the nearby rocks and ledges to climb up to the ledge where the Honey Gordo is waiting for food.

A Jetpack is required to reach the Honey Gordo. It’s recommended to bring your own fruit from your Ranch, as there isn’t much fruit to be found in the Moss Blanket until you activate the plants.

Hunter Gordo – The Moss Blanket

Hunter Gordo

  • Reward: Slime Key
  • Food Requirement: 50 units of meat; Roostro is the favorite

The Hunter Gordo is the second Gordo to be found in the Moss Blanket and the most challenging one to pop. You need to feed him meat with Roostro being his favorite. However, obtaining Roostros in large quantities can be difficult.

One strategy is to vacuum up all the Hen Hens in your Overgrowth Ranch Expansion. More Hen Hens will keep spawning, allowing you to gather a full tank of them to feed the Hunter Gordo.

Rock Gordo #1 – The Indigo Quarry

Rock Gordo 1

  • Reward: Teleporter to The Grotto on your Ranch
  • Food Requirement: 50 units of vegetables; Heart Beets are the favorite

The first Rock Gordo is located shortly after entering the Indigo Quarry from the Dry Reef. Follow the path east, and you’ll encounter it. Popping this Gordo is important because it opens a teleporter back to your base from the Indigo Quarry.

You can choose to grow Heart Beets back at your farm and bring them with you to the Indigo Quarry for both Rock Gordos. Alternatively, you can find enough vegetables while exploring the Indigo Quarry to meet the food requirements for all three Gordos here.

Rock Gordo #2 – The Indigo Quarry

Rock Gordo 2

  • Reward: Teleporter to the island in Indigo Quarry
  • Food Requirement: 50 units of vegetables; Heart Beets are the favorite

The second Rock Gordo in the Indigo Quarry is located at the northernmost portion of the zone, almost directly east of the teleporter back to your Ranch. To reach this Gordo, sneak behind the large rock wall that divides the small island in two. Look for the small walkway marked on the map.

There are some Heart Beets and Carrots in the area around this Rock Gordo. Like the other vegetable-eating Gordos in this zone, it can be fed easily without bringing any food with you.

Rad Gordo – The Indigo Quarry

Rad Gordo

  • Reward: Slime Key
  • Food Requirement: 50 units of vegetables; Oca Oca is the favorite

The Rad Gordo is located deep in the heart of the Indigo Quarry in a small cave dominated by its Rad Aura. There are two routes to reach the Rad Gordo:

  1. Jetpack across the water near the broken bridge and land on the alcove north of the Rad Gordo.
  2. Follow the linear path through the entire zone, taking the southern path instead of the northern one that leads to the exit portal. This path will lead you directly to the Rad Gordo.

The Rad Gordo’s favorite food is Oca Oca. It’s recommended to bring your own fruit when popping this Gordo, as there isn’t much fruit to be found in the Indigo Quarry until you start activating the flowers in the area.

Crystal Gordo – The Indigo Quarry

  • Reward: Slime Key
  • Food Requirement: 50 units of vegetables; Odd Onion is the favorite

To reach the Crystal Gordo in the Indigo Quarry, you first need to burst Rock Gordo #2 and unlock the teleporter that takes you to its island. Once on the island, climb up the mountain using your Jetpack to find the Crystal Gordo surrounded by a rock ring at the top.

There is an abundance of vegetables in the Crystal Gordo’s location, so you don’t necessarily need to bring your own food. They can be easily found in the area, allowing you to pop the Crystal Gordo without any issues.

Quantum Gordo – The Ancient Ruins

Quantum Gordo

  • Reward: Slime Key
  • Food Requirement: 50 units of fruit; Phase Lemon is the favorite

The Quantum Gordo is located at the northeasternmost portion of the Ancient Ruins. To reach it, activate a nearby switch above it and follow a narrow walkway down to the room where the Gordo is located. Check out the “How to Reach the Quantum Gordo” video for visual directions.

Like all Quantum Slimes, the Quantum Gordo’s favorite food is Phase Lemons. It’s recommended to bring your own fruit when popping this Gordo, as there isn’t much fruit to be found in the Ancient Ruins until you start activating the plants.

Boom Gordo – The Ancient Ruins

Boom Gordo

  • Reward: Slime Key
  • Food Requirement: 50 units of meat; Briar Hens are the favorite

The Boom Gordo is located in the middle of the Ancient Ruins. To reach it, go through the doorway next to it and Jetpack across the water. To open the door, activate the switch in the middle of the Ancient Ruins. For visual directions, watch the “How to Reach the Boom Gordo” video.

The Boom Gordo’s favorite food is Briar Hens, but it’s recommended to feed it regular Hen Hens instead. If you own the Overgrowth Ranch Expansion, you can continuously vacuum up Hen Hens to get an unlimited supply. Popping the Boom Gordo will grant you a teleporter to the island in the Ancient Ruins.

Dervish Gordo – The Glass Desert

Dervish Gordo

  • Reward: Slime Key
  • Food Requirement: 50 units of fruit; Prickle Pears are the favorite

The Dervish Gordo is located on a ledge near one of the Tangle Slime statues in the Glass Desert. Reach the ledge by climbing up onto a broken stone wall and then onto a broken stone arch. Jetpack across to the Dervish Gordo’s platform. Watch the “How to Reach the Dervish Gordo” video for detailed directions.

It’s recommended to bring your own food from your Ranch when popping this Gordo, as finding vegetables in the Glass Desert can be difficult. Fruit is especially scarce until you activate the plants and bring life back to the area. Use leftover fruit or grow Prickle Pears on your own farm to feed the Dervish Gordo.

Tangle Gordo – The Glass Desert

Tangle Gordo

  • Reward: 1-way teleporter to Ranch
  • Food Requirement: 50 units of meat; Painted Hens are the favorite

The Tangle Gordo is located in the central portion of the Glass Desert and is the easiest Gordo to find and pop in this area. It can be accessed by following a long ramp that leads directly to it. Meat is required to burst this Gordo, with Painted Hens being its favorite.

Assuming it’s your first time in the Glass Desert, you probably haven’t activated any of the plants yet to start the slime spawns. This means you’ll find an abundance of chickens throughout the entire zone. It’s also recommended to place your own teleporter near this Gordo for convenient travel to and from the Glass Desert.

Mosaic Gordo – The Glass Desert

Mosaic Gordo

  • Reward: Slime Key
  • Food Requirement: 50 units of vegetables; Silver Parsnips are the favorite

The Mosaic Gordo is located in the Glass Desert, just before the Dervish Statues that unlock the northernmost fountain. Reach the Mosaic Gordo by floating through the air. To burst this Gordo, bring your own food from your Ranch, as finding vegetables in the Glass Desert can be challenging until you activate the plants.
