Indiana Jones has made his way into Fortnite with two unlockable costumes. The first one can be obtained by purchasing the Season 3 battle pass and completing the initial challenges. Once you’ve unlocked the basic Indiana Jones skin, you’ll have access to five additional quests that, when completed, will reward you with the Temple Explorer skin from the Temple of Doom. While most of these quests are relatively easy, one in particular is as challenging as escaping a runaway boulder. This quest requires you to solve a tricky puzzle at Shuffled Shrines in order to unlock the Secret Door. In this guide, we’ll show you how to complete this pesky Fortnite quest and earn the extra Indy outfit.

Where to Find the Colored Stones in Shuffled Shrines
After purchasing the battle pass and finishing the first set of Indiana Jones quests, you can start making progress towards finding the Secret Door past the Main Chamber in Shuffled Shrines.
Remember, Shuffled Shrines is a new Point of Interest located just east of Rocky Reels.
To complete this quest, you need to maneuver around the exterior of the area and take note of the broken stones marked by red dots on the map above. Each stone has a specific color, and the colors change with each match, making this quest a bit more challenging.
Keep in mind that Shuffled Shrines is currently quite busy due to this quest. It’s recommended to wait for a while before attempting this objective, as the area will become less crowded over time. However, if you’re up for the challenge, you can still give it a go—just be prepared for a tougher experience.
Once you’ve taken note of the colors of at least three of the four stones (we’ll explain why you only need three later on), head to the underground area in the center of Shuffled Shrines, marked by the green dot on the map.
In this area, you’ll find four standing stones and a mysterious door behind them.
How to Solve the Fortnite Secret Door Shuffled Shrines Puzzle
To open the door, you must match the colors of the stones in front of you with the broken stones around the exterior. The alignment of the stones is the same, with the leftmost one corresponding to the broken stone on the southwest side, and so on.
At this point, turn each stone to the correct color. If you only know the colors of three stones, you can simply guess the last one. Keep rotating it until it clicks—there’s no need to check the broken stone since trial and error will do the trick.
Once the door opens, your journey isn’t over yet. Avoid running down the hallway immediately, as deadly arrows will rain down upon you. Take it slow, inch your way forward, trigger the arrows, and quickly step back to avoid them. Repeat this process until you reach the end of the hallway, where you’ll discover a Golden Tomatohead.
Grab the Golden Tomatohead, and the entire area will start shaking.
Afterward, look to the right of where you found the Golden Tomatohead, and you’ll see an area blocked by leaves. Simply step past them, and you’ll enter the Secret Room. Upon arrival, you’ll earn credit for completing this particular challenge.
The Easiest Method
Believe it or not, there is a much easier method to complete this quest, but it’s a bit cheesy. Essentially, you can wait for someone else to open the door first. Once they do, enter the Secret Room afterward without having to go through any of the puzzle-solving yourself. It’s best to wait as long as possible to ensure that you’re alone.
If you choose to use this method, we suggest landing just outside of Shuffled Shrines, gathering loot, and cautiously making your way to the door to check if it’s already open. If it is, simply run back to the Secret Room. Otherwise, attempt to solve the puzzle on your own. By that time, there shouldn’t be many other players to deal with if you’ve waited long enough.
